The 13th annual Generation of Youth for Christ (GYC) conference is scheduled to happen January 1-5, 2014 in Orlando, Fla.
According to the event website, the theme will be “Before Men and Angels,” and is based on a Bible verse found in 1 Corinthians 4:9:
"For I think that God has displayed us, the apostles, last, as men condemned to death; for we have been made a spectacle to the world, both to angels and to men." 1 Cor. 4:9 (NKJV)
Generation of Youth for Christ is youth movement that was started in 2002 by a small group of college students, according to the event organizers. The movement is overseen by a small executive committee and board of directors.
Each year, GYC holds a conference where attendees can network, worship, attend seminars and learn about different mission opportunities for young people. According to their website, GYC promotes "serious Bible study, intense prayer, uncompromising lifestyle, and boldness in sharing Christ with others."
More information about the convention is available on the GYC website.
